Social Skills Group for kids under 12

Our mission is to help children develop successful social relationships with peers. For some, it may mean developing a meaningful relationship with one or two peers, for others, it may mean being part of a larger group.

Regardless of age, gender, or interest – the key to success on this journey is to help children and youth become flexible thinkers, and strong problem solvers and understand how their behaviors affect the thoughts and feelings of others.

In this endeavor, we help each child better understand their own style of interaction and communication, allowing them to meet their social goals and experience success.

Our Social Skills Group is a weekly group meeting designed to help children develop age-appropriate social and communication skills as well as learn to regulate their feelings.

Group for Teens:

A process group helps participants learn with and from others about relationships and their communication styles. In a group, you will have the opportunity to learn about the gaps between how you see yourself and the way you are being seen and understood by others. The group invites you to develop awareness, curiosity, and insight about how these gaps form. Most importantly, we provide you with the structure to talk about these patterns while staying emotionally connected to each other.

Our approach is relational, which assumes that humans become who they are through past and ongoing relationships. The group becomes a safe place to learn about the roles you take, obtain valuable feedback about the emotional impact you have on others, and experiment with new ways of being and relating. We hope that these would lead to an improved ability to connect to others meaningfully and deepen your connection with self.

The group size is limited to 6  participants.
